Akbash / Mixed (long coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Large Won't you think about adopting me?
Curly Sue came to us from Oklahoma. Her eyes and build look somewhat Akbash, and her curly coat looks like possibly Kuvasz, or maybe it's produced from a combination of Akbash and Komondor. She is a wonderful livestock guardian. She’s not well socialized with people, but she’s great with our goats, good with other dogs, and hasn’t bothered our barn cats. She is shy but will take a treat from me, so that's an excellent way to start winning her trust. She avoids my touch, but when I manage to get my hands on her, she seems to enjoy have her ears and butt scratched. She was never taught to wear a collar or walk on a leash, so we haven’t yet been able to get her to our chicken yard to test her with chickens. If you need an LGD for goats and don’t have chickens, or keep them in their own coop and yard like we do, then Curly Sue might be the right dog for you!
